It's easy to either set up a regular donation or make a single gift; your support will make the difference to so many lives. While donations to specific areas and ward funds are appreciated, it is the unrestricted gifts that allow the Charity to support those patient areas of the Hospital that need it most.

Kathy’s story

“There is nothing more emotional than seeing a child arrive in the unit. And there is nothing more rewarding than when they leave,” says Kathy Brennan, senior charge nurse in the Children’s Critical Care Centre. She has worked in the unit since it opened in 1993. A mother as well as a nurse, Kathy says she would expect nothing but the very best from the unit.

A gift of just £10 can make a real contribution to the daily work of the Childrens Critical Care Centre.

“Our fundraising has been central to fulfilling that excellence in care. We have been able to ensure our Centre has been fitted with essential equipment required by children who need it. Critically ill children are dependant on advanced technological support and we are now in a position to provide that comprehensively. Coming into hospital is in its very nature a difficult and worrying time for sick children and their families.”

£25 can help treat a sick child at a time of great need.

“Working here is a privilege. I have been at King’s for over 20 years and am so proud of the services we provide. Nothing can compare to knowing we have gone that extra mile for our patients, families and staff.”
